Annadaanam is an age old tradition in religious institutions of India. Annadanam is considered supreme form of charity and one of the best forms of giving. Food gives life and therefore Annadanam is also considered pranadhanam (donation of life) - thus it is known to be divine. To receive God’s bountiful gift as Prasad and dedicate ourselves to His service is the most sacred Yajna.

Our dedicated volunteers prepare and serve Prasad in Annashree every Sunday when Balavihar is in session. Birthdays, anniversaries, death anniversaries/in memoriam, job promotions, and other occasions are opportunities to offer Annadanam.
